About the role of Director of Research & Compliance
Essential team member supporting the Trust Fund's excellence in community development programs and services by leading housing research initiatives aligned with the organization's strategic plan and monitoring program outcomes and compliance to align with the organization's goals.
This role must also have an eye for detail, a precision mindset and desire to learn about and help realize the goals of affordable housing programs and strategies.
Key Priorities
Researches and interprets housing and community data to identify trends and program and policy implications for communities in Polk County.
Maintains thorough knowledge of local real estate market conditions and the supply and demand of housing affordable at different income levels and with other relevant characteristics for the community.
Develops a working knowledge of local, state, and federal housing programs and how they meet the needs of Polk County residents.
Gathers and analyzes information to monitor the effectiveness of Trust Fund programs including supervising compliance of developers and others receiving funds from PCHTF with program expectations.
Essential Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 2-5 years’ experience. Master's degree and/or AICP credential a plus.
Ability to analyze, summarize, and communicate complex housing program policies or research findings.
Strong interpersonal skills, team-oriented.
