Sara Hopkins

Sara Hopkins is the owner of RE/MAX Precision Urban Office and CEO of Sara Hopkins Real Estate Team. Every day she sees firsthand the need for a more diverse offering of affordable housing in Polk County and says she’s passionate about strengthening neighborhoods that in turn contribute to growing thriving communities.

A Des Moines native, Sara moved to England following college where she lived and worked for a regional magazine and discovered her talent for sales. After four years she returned home and in 2010 began her career in real estate. She’s now in the top 1% of agents in Des Moines and she and her team generate over 100 transactions each year. She attributes the success to living in an amazing city, working with a talented team, and staying focused on helping people find the right homes for their budgets and lifestyles.

Sara was selected into the Business Record’s Forty Under 40 of 2018 and named Realtor of the Year by Des Moines Area Association of Realtors in 2017. Also in 2017, she co-chaired the Habitat for Humanity Women’s build, bringing more than 100 women together to build a home and securing $40,000 in sponsorships and donations to fund the project. She is a big booster of small business and has a special series called “Friday Finds” with more than 50 episodes of blogs and videos featuring the stories and offerings of local business owners throughout Central Iowa.

Sara attended the University of Iowa for Communication Studies, the University of Newcastle in Australia, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communication from Grand View University.
