Housing Trust Fund Announces New Board Members

Des Moines, Iowa (February 2012) The Polk County Housing Trust Fund, a leader in the area of working to provide safe, stable and affordable housing announced the addition of two new board members, Steve Patterson of Meta Financial Group and Linda Westergaard of The Westergaard Group.

Steve Patterson brings over 30 years of banking experience and community insight to the Board. He currently serves or has served as the president of the Carlisle Economic Development Group, Vice President of the Carlisle Chamber of Commerce, President of the Board for Children and Families of Iowa, and Board member for the Des Moines Development Corporation. Steve also has affiliations and provides support to United Way, Grand View College, Drake University, Des Moines Leadership Institute, Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs.

Linda Westergaard incorporates housing and the health and vitality of neighborhoods in every part of her life.  Linda, her husband and business partner, Neal, and daughter Sara make up The Westergaard Group, a real estate team with Prudential First Realty. She currently serves as the president of the Douglas Acres Neighborhood Association and is president of Northeast Neighbors and Friends. She also serves on the Des Moines Zoning Board of Adjustment and the Board of Directors for the Des Moines Area Association of Realtors. 

Board member and Labor Relations Specialist for the State of Iowa, Stephanie Reynolds, was recognized and thanked for her six years of Board Member service - the maximum allowed.  Prior to working for the State, Stephanie was the assistant city administrator for Johnston and also worked for Brenton Investments and Firstar Bank, N.A .
