Director of Programs & Supportive Services

Mollie Giller

Mollie Giller serves as the Director of Programs and Supportive Services for the Polk County Housing Trust Fund — responsible for the overall strategy of both raising and investing funds. Mollie’s focus includes leading the private sector fund raising that provides revenue for supportive service programs and improving outcomes for households who are receiving or may qualify for the PCHTF’s strategic project funding.

Before joining PCHTF, Mollie served in Director-level positions focused on Advancement, Program & Community Services and Fundraising for the Science Center of Iowa, EveryStep (formerly known as HCI Care Services & Visiting Nurse Services), and the Jewish Federation of Greater Des Moines.

Mollie received the Master of Public Health Opportunity Award at the University of Iowa for excellence in classroom studies and work in underserved populations. She was also honored by the Business Record as a 2018 Forty Under 40 and shared that her passion is “…centered around making our community more equitable, more inclusive and helping to improve the health and well-being of everyone in Central Iowa.” She believes that collectively we are only as strong as our most vulnerable neighbors and clearly housing affordability is at the heart of providing equity and stability. She is also a graduate of the Greater Des Moines Leadership Class of 2016 and continues to serve on the Board of Directors.

Mollie earned her Master of Public Health in Community and Behavioral Health and a Bachelor of Arts in English, Communication Studies, and International Studies from the University of Iowa with an emphasis in International Communications and a Minor in Spanish.
