Kris Schechinger-Camper

Kris Schechinger-Camper is director of Corporate Citizenship for Nationwide in the Des Moines, IA office. She joined Nationwide in 2008, and has direct responsibility for philanthropy, volunteerism and workplace giving initiatives in Des Moines, IA and Scottsdale, AZ. and campus locations of Brea, CA, Gainesville, FL, Harleysville, PA, Harrisburg, PA, Lone Tree, CO, Raleigh, N.C., Sacramento, CA and San Antonio, TX.

Prior to joining Nationwide, Kris worked in the nonprofit development field for 12 ½ years serving in roles of increasing responsibility including area director, director of development, senior director of development and interim executive director on two separate occasions for nonprofit health organizations in Kansas City and Des Moines.

Kris holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations from Northwest Missouri State University; a Certificate in Corporate Citizenship Management from the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and a Nonprofit Fund-Raising Certificate from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Currently she serves on the United Way of Central Iowa OpportUNITY Leadership Council – a taskforce dedicated to reducing poverty in Central Iowa; the Polk County Housing Trust Fund Board of Directors & Supportive Services Grant Committee and the Polk County Continuum of Care Grant Committee.
