Stable. Steady. Strong.
Our commitment to the well-being of our families is as strong as ever.
We are all confronting extraordinary circumstances for our families, our businesses, and our communities as we come to terms with the COVID-19 pandemic.
For the people who depend on the Housing Trust Fund and its partners to help build stability in their lives, these past few weeks have been extremely difficult. Many have lost their jobs while others are working on the frontline in grocery stores, delivery services, health care facilities and other essential services to ensure the rest of us can sustain a semblance of normalcy during the health crisis.
This has resulted in the needs of our clients changing. Many are requiring rent adjustments due to a job loss or being assigned fewer work hours. Others are suffering from mental health issues as a result of the isolation of sheltering-in-place. Some are seeking help applying for unemployment benefits, new job searches or referrals related to impacts from the outbreak.
Our commitment to the well-being of our families is as strong as ever and the PCHTF and its partners are connecting the dots and filling the gaps to help these households picture a future that gives them hope and stability. As one of our partners says, "People cannot shelter-in-place if they don't have shelter."
Like so many at this time, the PCHTF is finding new ways to adapt to new technologies. We're excited to introduce a new tool that will make donations more accessible in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on www.pchtf.org!
We are thinking of you and your loved ones at this time. We hope you continue to stay well.
