Eric Burmeister Named PCHTF Executive Director
DES MOINES — (November 2010) The Polk County Housing Trust Fund (PCHTF), whose mission is to “help make housing affordable," has hired Eric Burmeister as its executive director. Burmeister has 30 years experience as a real estate attorney in Des Moines and a development background in real estate acquisition, finance and corporate governance. He also has a notable list of experiences serving on non-profit boards and committees including volunteer leadership roles so important to the success of many groups such as PCHTF and its partner agencies.
“Eric is a proven leader and well-known community professional who comes to us with a unique background and valuable skill set,” said E. J. Giovannetti, PCHTF board chair and Polk County Supervisor. “Affordable housing is more than a social issue; it’s an economic issue that has an incredible impact on the health and vibrancy of our families and communities.”

We have great partners and growing community support and I am looking forwatd to this next chapter in my life.”
Burmeister will begin work in his new position on November 8 and replaces Sheila Lumley, who retired.
