Our Mission Statement

The PCHTF, established in 1995, is an Iowa non-profit 501c3 organization that funds the development and support of affordable housing in Polk County.

Our mission is to create and support opportunities to collaboratively develop resources and to facilitate effective solutions to make housing affordable.

We accomplish this mission by leveraging public and private funding sources to develop new or rehabilitate existing structures, both for single-family homeownership or rental, to enable Polk County's low-income residents to afford housing.  We also provide operating and housing assistance support to five non-profit housing agencies that provide services designed to stabilize low income families in their communities.
